There were some unusual visitors to RAAF Edinburgh this afternoon. Two US Marine Corps V-22B Ospreys from VMM-268, known as the Red Dragons arrived from Townsville, refuelling at Mount Isa and Woomera on the way. This is the first time the Osprey has visited RAAF Edinburgh. The Osprey is a tiltrotor medium transport aircraft capable of vertical take off and landing like a helicopter. The two aircraft were 168322 YQ-08 and 168608 YQ-09.
